St John Ambulance NT completes successful implementation of HealthCare Software’s Controlled Drugs Management solution
St John Ambulance NT has gone live with HealthCare Software’s (HCS) Controlled Drugs Management (CDM) solution across the Northern Territory after a 6-month project.
CDM enhances St John Ambulance NT’s ability to comply with the Medicines, Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Act (2012) and ensures clinicians have an efficient and simple way to meet their obligations for appropriate record-keeping of all movements, transactions and administration of controlled substances.
Managers responsible for day-to-day CD management as well as senior leaders with accountability for CDs across the service now have real-time visibility of all CD transactions occurring across the vast Northern Territory served by St John Ambulance NT.
As a highly configurable SaaS solution, St John Ambulance NT’s CDM deployment has been designed to meet the unique requirements of St John Ambulance NT. HCS assisted St John Ambulance NT with everything from ‘proven practice’ CD Management across its customer base to custom training materials to ensure a seamless learning experience for more than 250 clinicians.
Andrew Thomas, Director of Ambulance Services St John Ambulance NT, said “The implementation project was a huge success and the collaboration between St John Ambulance NT and HCS has ensured a terrific outcome – on time, on budget and to a very high standard. We look forward to using the product to enhance CD safety and quality across the NT.”.
