Chief Executive Officer
With more than 25 years working in commercial roles in Enterprise Software companies in the Travel and ERP spaces, Rich brings extensive experience in creating change for companies and organisations locally and globally. He has a big picture view of structure and strategy and applies this to HealthCare Software’s agile and innovative environment. Rich is passionate about delivering great solutions that make a difference to wellbeing, as well as a focus on excellence in project delivery and customer satisfaction.
Prior to joining HealthCare Software Rich worked with the Tasmania Department of Health leading major programs of work including the commissioning of Royal Hobart Hospital’s K Block, the launch of Ambulance Tasmania’s Secondary Triage service and as Program lead for the ICT solutions in the response to COVID.
Chief Operating Officer
Caroline has over 15 years experience in operational and project roles across a variety of public and private sector organisations including State and Local Government, research and development, consulting and for most of the past 10 years in the digital health space including as a foundation member of the Telstra Health business.
In addition to operational oversight, Caroline is also responsible for our Customer Success program ensuring we deliver the best possible service to our valued customers.
Caroline is passionate about influencing change in the way healthcare is delivered through the use of technology.
Founder and Chief Clinical Information Officer
John has worked as a Pharmacist in several public hospitals (Royal Hobart, Launceston General, Townsville General in Queensland and Saint Mary's in Portsmouth, UK).
He has been a contributor to HealthConnect, MediConnect and NEHTA through various working groups, with a particular interest in electronic prescribing, decision support systems, adverse drug reaction reporting and other health IT related issues.
Chief Technical Officer
Christian has been with HCS since 2008, working initially as a senior developer and now working as CTO within the company.
He has 20 years experience in the software industry, working in government projects nationally and internationally focusing on grants and land management before spending the last 15 years working with Healthcare Software.
His primary motivation is to design and build software and teams that increase patient safety and drive better health outcomes for individuals within the health system, a set of goals that aligns with our company goals and has kept him with the company for the last 15 years and into the future.
Chair
Mark has extensive experience as a CEO, executive and director in the insurance and health sectors, strategy development, capital and financial management, and risk management. He is a former CEO at GMHBA Limited, a top-10 Australian health insurer and regional healthcare provider and a current director at St Luke’s Health.
Mark helps shape and influence the healthcare sector through his various directorships across hospital contracting, technology and peak advocacy bodies. He brings expertise to the HealthCare Software Board spanning the strategy, leadership and culture, technology, systems, and processes that make an organisation successful.

Director
Mel has worked in the ICT industry for about 25 years and has held many senior roles including chief information officer at Aurora Energy and ICT leader at TasNetworks. In 2016 she started her own ICT Advisory and Project consultancy business in Hobart called Ignite Projects Services.
Mel has extensive experience in developing and implementing ICT strategies, along with a passion for leading and developing people and elevating organisational culture. Mel was awarded Outstanding Contribution by a Woman in ICT by TASICT for her dedication to the industry.
Mel is the current Chair of St.LukesHealth Board and along with HCS is also Board member with Colony47.
Director
James Robinson is also the Managing Director of In-tellinc which is a private investment and consulting company focussed on providing marketing and commercial assistance to science and technology companies.
James has previously held senior positions at Deloitte Consulting and IBM Global Services. He currently holds a variety of board positions including; Asdeq Labs, Stratokey, and Jade Liquid Software.
