SupportHealthCare Software signs distributor agreement with leading Canadian and Global clinical software provider, Prehos.

HealthCare Software (HCS) and Prehos have entered into a distribution agreement that enables each party to market their solutions into jurisdictions covered by the agreement. Initially covering Canada both organisations envisage opportunities to work together in other markets.

HCS is the company behind the Controlled Drugs Management (CDM) solution purpose-written for ambulance services, which is market-leading in Australia and the United Kingdom. CDM is used by thousands of paramedics to ensure quality and safety in the compliant recording of all transactions associated with dangerous and addictive narcotics. CDM supports greater visibility, efficiency and cost-savings in supply chain management and incident investigations.

Headquartered in Quebec, Prehos builds contemporary ePCR solutions for Community and Emergency paramedicine. Prehos solutions ensure accurate and timely recording of all patient interactions which CDM will complement by ensuring legal obligations of paramedics and services are met as well as increasing visibility and transparency of CDM transactions. As a fully integrated solution paramedics will enjoy high levels of efficiency enabling increased time for patients.

CDM delivers a purpose-built solution for Canadian and international paramedic services to move away from legacy paper and enjoy a significant uplift in practice and narcotic management in the field.

Rich Metcalfe, CEO of HealthCare Software said, “I’m delighted to be working with the team from Prehos to make CDM available to Canadian, and other worldwide, services. Prehos builds fantastic solutions for Ambulance and Paramedic services with a strong focus on customer outcomes. In this way, HCS and Prehos have a close cultural and philosophical alignment and I think this can only be to the benefit of paramedic services everywhere.”

Christian Chalifour said, “Prehos is a proudly Canadian company bringing our solutions to paramedic services worldwide. The opportunity to add CDM to our suite of products means paramedic services can be confident that narcotics are being managed safely and in compliance with local regulations and legislation. We’re very happy to be able to bring this innovative Australian solution for CD management to our customers in Canada and beyond.”
